Now today we're going to talk about which you should learn, whether this is American English or British English.

Now I get this question a lot.

And today we're going to answer that question and I'm going to share some of my thoughts on this topic too.

The first thing to know is that there are differences between British and American English.

Now look at this sentence in American English and excuse me for my accent.

He's awesome at getting the best takeout from the BBQ join right on time.

That's the American version.

But my opinion is there's no natural difference between the two in terms of which one is better.

Something interesting about this though is people from the UK can understand Americans better than Americans can understand Brits.

When people talk about British English, they generally speak in talking about received pronunciation and English from England.
