Grammar Basics.
语法基础。
Subject was or were plus verb i and g.
主语是“plus”（加上）某个词，后面跟着动词“i”和“g”。
I was studying you were yawning.
我正在观察你，这时你突然打起了哈欠。
yawn is when you when
Yawn”指的是打哈欠的时候。
you do that.
你就那么做吧。
That's yawning.
那只是打哈欠而已。
He was running.
他正在跑步。
She was sleeping.
她正在睡觉。
It was working.
它确实有效果（或者说：它运转正常）。
We were joking.
我们只是在开玩笑而已。
They were complaining.
他们在抱怨。
You can see you can really use any i and g verb.
你可以看到，实际上可以使用任何以 “i” 或 “g” 开头的动词。
How do we form the negative?
我们是如何构成否定形式的呢？
It's easy.
这很简单。
Just add not.
只需在前面加上“不要”即可。
I was not studying.
我当时并没有在学习。
You were not yawning.
你并没有打哈欠。
Let's make this natural and contract.
让我们让这件事显得自然而然，并且达成相应的协议（或合同）。
He wasn't running.
他并没有在跑步。
She wasn't sleeping.
她没有在睡觉。
It wasn't working.
这个方法根本不起作用。
We weren't joking.
我们不是在开玩笑。
They weren't complaining.
他们并没有抱怨。

Simple right?
很简单，对吧？
