Let's Learn English! Topic: Action Verbs! 🤲😎🌷 (Lesson Only) · Learn English with Bob the Canadian
本课介绍常见动作动词,如bend, kneel, lean等,适合练习描述动作和日常表达。
Well, hello and welcome to this English lesson about action verbs.
大家好,欢迎来到这节关于“动作动词”的英语课程。
I'm pretty sure it should say action verbs, lesson number four or five.
我很确定应该标注为“动作动词”,属于第四或第五课的内容。
I think I've done basic action verbs, action verbs part two, kitchen action verbs.
我想我已经完成了关于基本动作动词的学习(包括第二部分的内容),以及与厨房相关的动作动词的学习。
I've acted out action verbs twice, so hopefully there are some new ones here for you.
我已经两次表演了表示动作的动词(即那些表示“做某事”的动词),因此希望这次能有一些新的动词供大家学习。
What I've done is I've looked at all the action verbs I've taught in past lessons.
我所做的就是回顾了我在过去课程中教授过的所有表示动作的动词。
And I created a list of verbs that I'm pretty sure I haven't taught yet, but we'll see as we go through this lesson.
我列出了一个动词清单,我几乎可以肯定这些动词还没有教过学生;不过在讲解这节课的过程中,我们会逐渐弄清楚的。
So, what are action verbs?
那么,什么是动作动词(action verbs)呢?
Action verbs are verbs where you are taking an action.
动作动词是指那些表示你正在执行某种动作的动词。
If you watched the one where I act them out, you can punch, you can kick.
如果你看过我表演的那个视频,就会发现:你可以动手打人,也可以用脚踢人。
There are all different kinds of action verbs.
动作动词有多种不同的类型。
In this lesson, we will look at action verbs like to honk, to stack, to stamp, to stomp.
在这一课中,我们将学习一些表示动作的动词,比如“按喇叭”(to honk)、“堆叠”(to stack)、“盖章”(to stamp)以及“跺脚”(to stomp)。
And about 20 others.
还有大约另外20个人。
So once again, welcome to this English lesson about action verbs.
那么,再次欢迎大家来到这节关于“动作动词”的英语课程。
To bend, to make something change from a straight shape to a curved shape.
弯曲”是指使某物从直线形状变为曲线形状。
Example sentence: Be careful not to bend the bar too much.
例句:注意不要把金属棒弯得太厉害。
So we have a man here, and I think that's actually a piece of rebar.
这里有一个人,我觉得那实际上是一根钢筋。
Rebar is a kind of steel rod that they often put into a form before they pour concrete.
钢筋是一种钢制棒材,通常在浇筑混凝土之前会被先加工成所需的形状。
And this man has decided to bend it.
而这个男人决定要改变现状(或:打破现有的规则/惯例)。
He's using his knee.
他正在用膝盖发力。
I would not do this if I did this.
如果我真的要这么做的话,我是绝对不会这么做的。
I would hurt my knee.
我的膝盖可能会受伤。
I I 100% guarantee if I tried to bend a steel bar
我百分之百可以保证:如果我试图弯曲一根钢棒的话……
the way this person is doing it, I would hurt my knee.
按照这个人的方式来做的话,我肯定会弄伤自己的膝盖的。
I would end up limping for a week.
最后我会一瘸一拐地走上一周的时间。
Limping is when you walk and one leg doesn't quite work the best, doesn't work the way it's supposed to.
跛行”指的是走路时其中一条腿的功能不正常,无法像正常情况下那样正常地移动。
So to bend, to make something change from a straight shape.
所谓“弯曲”,就是让某物从直线形状变为其他形状。
To a curved shape.
变成一个弯曲的形状。
To kneel, to lower your body so that one or both knees are on the ground.
跪下,即降低身体姿势,使一个或两个膝盖触地。
She had to kneel to tie his shoe.
她不得不跪下来给他系鞋带。
So we kneel in a number of situations.
因此,在许多情况下我们都需要跪下。
Sometimes, I've noticed when watching sports matches, sometimes the players who are waiting to play, the players who are on the bench,
有时候,在观看体育比赛时,我会注意到那些正在场边等待上场的球员(也就是坐在替补席上的球员)。
sometimes they just kneel on the side of the field waiting.
有时候,他们就只是跪在球场边上等待。
Like the football game is happening and they're just kneeling.
就好像足球比赛正在进行中,而他们却只是跪在那里一样。
Sometimes when players come off the field during a sports match, they might kneel because they're just tired and they want to catch their breath.
有时候,在体育比赛中球员下场休息时,他们会跪下来——因为他们只是累了,需要喘口气。
When you use the phrase to catch your breath, it means you're breathing like that and you're trying to breathe normally again.
当你使用“to catch your breath”这个短语时,意思是你的呼吸正处于这种急促、不稳定的状态,而你正在努力让呼吸恢复正常。
But here we go again to kneel to lower your body so that one or both knees are on the ground.
但是,我们又得重新开始这个动作了:跪下,让身体降低,直到一个或两个膝盖触地。
To lean, to lean.
倾斜啊,倾斜……
Oh, to to lean personally.
哦,真希望能亲自体验一下。
If I lean, it means to move your body so that it rests against something.
如果我说“我需要靠一下”,我的意思是让你调整身体的姿势,让身体靠在某个物体上。
He decided to lean against the wall while he waited.
他决定靠在墙上等待。
