Today I'm going to talk about relearning a language.

So I am currently relearning Greek right now.
我现在正在重新学习希腊语。
It's not the first time that I've learned it.
这已经不是我第一次学到这个知识了。
I studied Greek many years ago and I stopped about four and a half years ago or maybe a little bit more than that.
我多年前学习过希腊语，大约在四年半前停止了学习（也可能稍微晚一点）。
But now I'm relearning Greek and I'd like to talk about that today because it's a pretty interesting process to relearn a language.

It's not the same thing as learning a language for the first time.
这与第一次学习一门语言的情况是不同的。
So I'll talk about some of those differences today and some of the things I've been experiencing while relearning Greek.

It's not the same as when I speak normally.

So that's good, but it's not going

So I just wanted to mention that because people always ask about that.

Okay, let's talk about relearning a language.

I started relearning Greek maybe four weeks ago, something like that.
我大概四周前开始重新学习希腊语。
So it's pretty recent, but I've already learned a lot.

And I've learned some lessons from these weeks of relearning Greek.

So when you learn a language for the first time, it's the first time you've seen it.
因此，当你第一次学习一门语言时，其实也是你第一次接触到这种语言（即第一次见到它的各种表达形式）。
You're creating new connections in your brain.
你正在自己的大脑中建立新的神经连接（即新的神经通路）。
Okay, this is a different process from when you're relearning a language.

When you're learning a language for the first time, it's really easy to forget things.
当你第一次学习一门语言时，很容易忘记一些内容。
It's very easy to see a word, even a simple word like great or something.
即使是一个像 “great” 这样简单的单词，也很容易被认出来。
And you see it, you note it down, and you forget it afterwards.
你看到了它，记了下来，然后就把它忘掉了。
That's really common when you're learning a language for the first time.
当你第一次学习一门语言时，这种情况非常普遍。
This is because you have no foundation, you have no base.

So you're just seeing new things that have no significance to you.
