Hey guys, what's up?
嘿,大家好,最近怎么样?
Stefanie, the English coach, here from EnglishFullTime.com.
我是斯蒂芬妮(Stefanie),英语教练,来自 EnglishFullTime.com 网站。
In this video, I am going to share with you 13 slang phrases that I use every single day.
在这段视频中,我将和大家分享13个我每天都会使用的俚语表达。
Now, the interesting thing is that I didn't even realize that these phrases were slang until one of you brought it to my attention.
有趣的是,直到你们中的某个人提醒我,我才知道这些短语其实属于俚语。
And you said, "Hey, I went to
然后你说:“嘿,我去过……
the United States and I was really shocked because people used all these phrases that I had never heard before."
美国方面和我本人都感到非常震惊,因为人们使用了许多我从未听过的表达方式。
And when you listed the phrases, I was like, "Oh my gosh, those are very common.
当你列出那些短语时,我心想:“天哪,这些短语太常见了。
Like I used those every single day."
我每天都使用那些东西。
So I decided that I wanted to make you guys a video to share these phrases.
因此,我决定制作一个视频,把这些短语分享给大家。
With you?
和你一起吗?
Okay, so they're slang.
好吧,这些其实都属于俚语(即非正式的、日常使用的表达方式)。
It's informal.
这是一种非正式的交流方式。
That doesn't mean you can't use it at work.
这并不意味着你不能在工作时使用它。
Okay, if you work in an office, you can use these phrases with your co-workers.
好的,如果你在办公室工作,你可以把这些短语用在同事身上。
Maybe if you work in a call center or if you work for a bank or something like that,
也许如果你在呼叫中心工作,或者为银行之类的机构服务的话……
where you have to be more formal with people on the phone.
在电话交流中,你必须对对方更加礼貌、更加正式。
Maybe these aren't the phrases you would use.
也许这些并不是你会使用的表达方式。
But these are very common in everyday conversation.
但这些表达在日常对话中非常常见。
And like I said, I use them everyday.
就像我之前说的,我每天都在使用它们。
So for those of you who don't know, I'm from California.
对于那些还不了解我的人来说,我来自加利福尼亚州。
So this is obviously American English, and expressions that we use in the USA.
这显然是美式英语,也是我们在美国常用的表达方式。
So the first one is "It's all good."
第一个表达是:“一切都很好。
It's all good.
一切都很好。
This means it's okay.
这意味着没什么问题。
So if, for example, I was planning on hanging out with my sister one day and then she calls me and says,
比如说,我原本计划有一天和妹妹一起出去玩,结果她突然给我打电话说……
"Hey Stef, I'm so sorry I can't make it.
嘿,Stef,真的很抱歉,我没办法参加了。
You know, my kid got sick or whatever," then I could say, "Hey, don't worry about it.
你知道的,我的孩子生病了或者出了什么其他问题……”然后我就可以说:“嘿,别担心,没事的。
It's all good."
一切都很好。
So I'm not upset about it.
所以对此我并不感到沮丧。
I'm not disappointed.
我并不感到失望。
Everything's fine.
一切都很好。
Do what you have to do, and then maybe we can hang out later.
做你该做的事吧,之后也许我们可以一起出去玩。
It's all good.
一切都很好。
Another example of this is let's say I'm going to my friend's house and I'm supposed to bring drinks and we're gonna have like a gathering,
另一个例子是:假设我要去朋友家,需要带些饮料,然后我们会一起聚会。
a little party or something like that
一个小型的聚会之类的活动
and Then on my way there I end up forgetting the drinks and I just start feeling so bad about it.
然后,在去那里的路上,我竟然把买来的饮料给忘了,这让我感到非常内疚和懊恼。
So I go and I say, "Hey, you know, I'm so sorry.
于是我就去跟他们说:“嘿,真的很抱歉。
I forgot the drinks.
我忘了带饮料。
Do you want me to, you know, go back to the store and get something?"
你需要我再去商店买点什么吗?
My friend might say, "Oh no, Stef, it's all good.
我的朋友可能会说:“哦不,斯特芙,没关系的。
