But let me back up a little bit though, because some of you might be wondering, Emma, where did you even go?

To fill you in very quickly.

If we go back to the very end of 2003, I told you that I was going to step away from M English.

I was really burnt out at the time.
当时我真的感到精疲力竭、不堪重负。
I was running two businesses, mmmEnglish and Hey Lady, an English speaking community, two teams, two visions, building a technology platform,

and I was stretched thin across all of the things.

And somewhere there I got lost.

So at that time I made a really hard call, a hard decision.

I stepped away from what I was doing here at mmmEnglish so that I could pour everything that I had left into Hey Lady.
我暂时停止了在 mmmEnglish 的工作，以便把所有剩余的精力和心血都投入到《Hey Lady》这个项目中。
Maybe you've been in a situation like that before where you've had to just hit the reset button and step back from something that you loved,

but then restart it again.

Two and a half years is a long time away.

And so much has changed in the world.

But in that time that I did spend away, I built an incredible team at Hey Lady!

A team of English coaches, community managers, our software developers have built our amazing platform.
