In today's lesson we will start out by learning the vocabulary of the kitchen

The most important item in the kitchen is the oven or cooker.

We put food in the cooker to make it hot.

The microwave again heats food but very fast.

The hob is where we heat food in a saucepan or a frying pan.

The kettle boils water to make a cup of tea.

Knife The plural is knives, the "f" changes to "v" and remember the silent k .

Fork Spoon The collective noun for knives and forks and spoons is cutlery.
刀、叉和勺子的总称是“餐具”（cutlery）。
Plate Bowl Mugs The collective noun for cups and bowls and plates is crockery The sink.
杯子、碗和盘子的总称是“陶器”（crockery）。水槽（sink）也是厨房里常见的设施。
