But specifically, we are going to be looking at the differences between British and American English grammar.

Most of the time we focus on the differences in vocabulary and of course pronunciation.

Looking at the grammatical differences between British and American English, and my opinions on which one is best to use for exams and in general.

Difference number one.

The use of present perfect.
现在完成时的用法。
If you don't already know what the present perfect tense is, it is simply have or has followed by the past participle.
如果你还不知道“现在完成时”（present perfect tense）是什么，那么它其实就是“have”或“has”后面加上过去分词（past participle）构成的时态。
Now this tense is used when we are referring to a time period.
现在这种时态用于指代某个时间段。
Something that has happened up until recently.
直到最近才发生的事情。
Somehow the action the event is connected to now.
不知为何，这个事件现在似乎与某种行动或行为有关联了。
This could be for a number of different reasons.
这可能有多种不同的原因。
You might use it to talk about a past experience.

I have been to Australia.

I have ridden a horse.

Or you could use it because you are referring to a time period that has not finished.
