Our first difference is that many words ending in OUR in British English and in OR in American English,

Words ending in ISE in British English often end in IZ in American English,

There are also a few words where British English makes a spelling difference between the noun and verb forms,

With a number of words of Greek origin, including quite a few medical terms, British English has an AE or OE,
